Education in Cabot
Cabot, Arkansas has a local school district with a local school board
and neighborhood schools. The district encompasses much of northwest
Lonoke County, including the cities of Cabot, Austin and Ward. The
community focus on education is the primary reason why Cabot is one of
the fastest-growing cities in Arkansas.
The Cabot Public School
District has eight elementary schools, two middle schools, two junior
high schools and one high school. Cabot High School is the sixth largest
in the state of Arkansas and competes in the largest athletic classification
in the state. CHS regularly produces national Merit Scholarship students and
earns statewide recognition for extracurricular activities such as Forensic
& Debate, Bank and Quiz Bowl.
Cabot is also within a 50-mile radius of four universities, as well as a
number of smaller colleges, community colleges and technical schools.
After School Programs
The City of Cabot's
Park and Recreation system offers diverse group of programs that allows
the residents of the Cabot area participation in one type of sports year-
round. The parks and recreation staff maintain the grounds of seven
baseball fields, four softball fields, two lighted football fields and 10
soccer fields.
Softball and baseball programs are available for ages 5 and up. A
football program is offered for K through 6th grades and soccer is offered
for ages 4-18. Cabot also offers, dance, gymnastics and karate programs.
Cabot has just completed the new Veterans Community Center located at 508
N. Lincoln Street. The center has an indoor walking track and exercise room
with cardio and weight equipment. Many different levels of aerobics classes
are offered as well as swimming lessons and water aerobics. The Center has
two basketball courts and a meeting room for use by Cabot businesses, civic
groups and residents.
Fun in Cabot
Cabot also offers fun for the kids in all of us. There are two country
clubs, with golf courses, tennis, pool, parks and restaurants. There is a
multi-screen movie theater, roller rink, video arcade, and a brand new
bowling alley.
We are also only 20 miles outside Little Rock which has museums, minor
league baseball teams, ice skating rinks, theaters and other cultural
activities.

Cabot's housing market is excellent. We have houses ranging from $70,000
to $700,000. The houses vary from old to new, small to large, with
land, without land. A beautiful community with a small town feel.
