Where is Cordova?
Cordova is defined geographically as the area north of the Wolf River,
east of I-240, south of I-40 and US 64. The eastern boundary extends to
the Shelby/Fayette County line. Many areas of Cordova fall within the
city limits of Memphis, but areas to the east, along Houston Levee and
Sanga Road are in the county.

Cordova is served by both Memphis City and Shelby County School Systems.
All schools are considered to be top performing schools. Cordova is
also the home to several private Christian schools including Evangelical
Christian, Briarcrest Christian, First Assembly Christian, and

Living in Cordova
- Where to shop: Cordova is the center of considerable retail
growth over the past ten years. Anchored on the north by the
Wolfchase Galleria Mall
and on the south by the complex at
Trinity Road, which is comprised of a Super Walmart, Super Target,
and a family shopping center. Anything that needs to be purchased
can be found somewhere between these two anchor points along
Germantown Parkway.
- Where to eat: Any appetite, from fast food to fine dining,
can be satisfied on Germantown Parkway.
- Fun at the Parks:
Shelby Farms, the largest urban park in the United States, provides
opportunities for fishing, hiking, biking, and kite flying on its
4500 acres. Many of the acres are also devoted not only to working
test farm plots where major seed suppliers demonstrate their seed
varieties but is also home to a herd of bison.
A state of the art baseball complex,
First Tennessee Fields, is located on Fisher Steel Road, right off
Germantown Parkway.
- Worship Services: Cordova is home to churches of many
denominations. Bellevue Baptist,
with a membership of 29,000, is located at Appling and I-40.
Hope Presbyterian
is on Walnut Grove Road and has a membership of 6000.
