ABR - Accredited Buyer Representative

The accredited buyer representative (ABR) designation is the benchmark of excellence in real estate buyer representation.

The ABR is the only nationally recognized designation for buyer's agents. A buyer's agent represents the buyer in a real estate transaction for a fee; just as a seller's agent is hired to obtain the price and sale terms sought by the seller. The ABR designation demonstrates to clients that the agent has taken steps to continue their education in the field of buyer representation and has the proven experience and training to deliver ethical and professional service to real estate buyers.

The ABR is governed by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors. The requirements for this coveted designation include a comprehensive two-day course in buyer representation, a written examination on legal and practical aspects of client representation and practical experience in the field of buyer representation.

With well over 40,000 members worldwide, Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (www.REBAC.net) is the world's largest organization of real estate professionals concentrating in buyer representation. The National Association of Realtors is the nation's largest professional trade association, representing 1 million members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry. There are more than 30,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the ABR designation, with over 1,700 active ABR members in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi where Crye-Leike has a market presence.

Among Crye-Leike's 2,800 sales force, a over 300 Crye-Leike sales associates hold the ABR designation.
