Little Rock, Ark. - Crye-Leike of Arkansas, Inc. has committed to participate in United Way campaigns throughout Arkansas, a first for a real estate brokerage firm of this magnitude, according to local United Way officials.
Crye-Leike of Arkansas' United Way Campaign will bring together donations from over 200 sales associates and employees within its nine branch offices, located in Craighead, Faulkner, Garland and Pulaski counties.
Their company's workplace campaign will begin September 1st, with fund-raising activities being held throughout the month of September.
Nationwide, United Ways kick off their fund-raising efforts in September, orchestrating workplace campaigns over the next three months.
United Way is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to meeting the critical health and human service needs in the community. United Way focuses its efforts on: building a positive future for youth; caring for children and families in crisis; strengthening families; helping children with disabilities; assisting adults with disabilities; enhancing senior lifestyles; improving literacy, education and training; providing emergency and disaster relief; strengthening the non-profit community and providing information, referral and volunteer services.
While the relationship between United Way and Crye-Leike is not new, it is the first time that Arkansas sales associates of Crye-Leike will have the opportunity to support United Way agencies in their communities since Crye-Leike established its first Little Rock branch office in May 2002.
Crye-Leike, the nation's 10th largest real estate company, has held United Way Workplace Campaigns since 1995, raising over $194,800 in contributions. Crye-Leike has additional regional offices in Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga and Johnson City, Tennessee.
"Crye-Leike is committed company wide to support United Way because of the broad scope of health and human service needs United Way addresses which directly impacts the communities Crye-Leike serves," says Harold E. Crye, chief executive director of Crye-Leike. "Crye-Leike's regional fund-raising efforts cover 22 counties among Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Georgia and tap into a workforce of over 2,500 sales associates and 600 employees in 54 branch offices."
Since Crye-Leike's Arkansas regional headquarters is located in Little Rock, United Way of Pulaski County will lead the campaign effort.

United Way of Pulaski County will be coordinating the United Way campaigns for Crye-Leike's branch offices in Bryant, Conway, Hot Springs, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Maumelle and North Little Rock.
"Each partnering United Way office will work directly with the Crye-Leike branch manager in their area to provide specific information on local agencies during Crye-Leike's September sales meetings," said Robertson.
