Nashville, Tenn. - Crye-Leike, the nation's 10th largest real estate company and the largest in Tennessee and the Mid-South, concluded its 2003 United Way Workplace Campaign by raising a total of $88,344 company wide to support United Way agencies located in 32 counties in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Georgia, a 32 percent increase from last year's campaign.
Within its Middle Tennessee Region, Crye-Leike was awarded United Way's 2003 Most Innovative Campaign among large companies by United Way of Williamson County. Crye-Leike is ranked among the Top 25 Partners of United Way of Williamson County.
Since becoming a partner with United Way in 1995, Crye-Leike, its sales associates and corporate staff company wide have contributed in excess of $283,000 toward supporting United Way agencies in their communities.
"Our company's partnership with United Way is a perfect philanthropic fit for us. By giving to United Way, we are investing in the communities we serve," said Joyce Friedman, public relations director of Crye-Leike, Realtors who is serving as 2004 campaign chair of United Way of Williamson County's Real Estate Division.
"We know that United Way's board members and other volunteers safe guard that investment with a stringent process for prioritizing needs, evaluating agencies and their programs and distributing funds to those agencies most deserving and in need," says Friedman. "Their diligence produces results and allows United Way to make a positive impact on our neighbors like supporting people in crisis, enriching seniors' lives, strengthening families, promoting health and independence and helping youth succeed."
Second only to government, United Way is the largest provider of funding for health and human services in the nation.
