SMYRNA, TN.- Realtors in Crye-Leike's Smyrna office continued their tradition of hosting a chili cook-off and silent auction fundraiser this fall and had another very successful event.

Agents from the office dusted off their cookbooks and prepared their favorite chili recipes in hopes of winning the honor as 'Best Chili Cook' and in hopes of helping raise lots of money for charity like they have done in past years for several local organizations.

Crye-Leike's 9th annual chili cook-off supper and silent auction collected $2,081for charity. All of the proceeds from the 2012 chili fundraiser were donated to the Smyrna - LaVergne Food Bank. Crye-Leike's Smyrna agents were excited to learn the money they raised will go to support an average of 18 families and 54 people a day who are assisted by the local food bank.

More than a dozen different styles of chili were served for supper at the event held in Crye-Leike's Smyrna office parking lot. The Realtors were happy to have many people show up and support their fundraiser by enjoying some delicious chili recipes and bidding on some great silent auction items. Cyre-Leike's Smyrna agents extend a special thanks to the public and everyone who attended and supported the event helping them raise some big bucks for the food bank and the folks in the community who need help the most.

"For our office and agents, this is our big fundraiser for the year, and a delicious one at that," said Crye-Leike Realtor Von Richcreek. "It allows the agents to come together as an office and raise money for a great cause within the community. All charities are important, but when it comes to feeding those who would otherwise be unable to eat, the need to help that cause is overwhelming. We were proud to raise a good amount of funds for our local food bank this year."
