MEMPHIS, TN.- Analyst reports of a slowing real estate market have not deterred sales for the nation's 6th largest real estate company, Crye-Leike, Realtors. Crye-Leike reports $3.01 billion in year-to-date sales, marking halfway through 2006, an increase of 16.3 percent over $2.6 billion this same period last year. These figures represent 17,577 units sold, up 11.7 percent from 15,739, and show Crye-Leike on pace for another record-breaking year.

"We are in home buying markets that are affordable relative to national costs," said Crye-Leike President Dick Leike. "We are able to offer a good selection of homes to suit most needs. Even with the recent increases, we are still enjoying some of the best interest rates. Our economy is still in full swing and folks are looking at and buying homes."

Crye-Leike's disclosed sales figures include new and existing family homes, condos and duplexes as well as commercial properties, and franchise sales. Sales figures also represent the sales volume of both the listing and selling sides of a real estate transaction, which involve a buyer and a seller.

Chief Executive Officer Harold Crye believes that "Crye-Leike continues to succeed because of our 3300+ effective sales force, our diversity of services to meet homebuyers' and home sellers' needs, and our broad base of branch offices throughout the south." Crye-Leike recently expanded operations into Jackson, Mississippi and the Metro Atlanta market, achieving a new milestone for the 29-year-old company - it's 100th office. As well, the company recently announced the acquisition of its own franchise office in Cookeville, Tennessee, to become a corporate branch office.

Crye-Leike continues to grow and expects to open branch offices in the next 90-120 days in the communities of Dickson and Spring Hill, Tennessee. Development plans are also underway for new branch offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Northwest Arkansas; and office expansions are expected in such areas as Cleveland, Tennessee and Bryant and Hot Springs, Arkansas.
