Nashville, Tenn. - Garage sale unsuccessful? Never got around to spring-cleaning? Take this opportunity to get rid of those items in good condition and benefit United Way at the same time.

Crye-Leike Auction Services announces that it will hold an auction and bake sale to benefit United Way, the largest single provider of funding for health and human services in our community and in the nation.

The auction will be held at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Crye-Leike's Hermitage branch office, located at4723 Andrew Jackson Parkway.

Crye-Leike asks the public for assistance in this charity event. Individuals may purchase items to be sold or donate items in good condition, donate services for auction, bake an item to be sold, donate cash to be used for purchasing items for sale, and invite others to attend.

Auctioneer volunteers also are needed the day of the auction in the following areas: cashier, bid spotters, hand out bid numbers, help hold items for crowd view, and help load items into vehicles.

Conducting the auction will be Crye-Leike auctioneer Angelene Woodard of Crye-Leike Auction Services in Hermitage who is donating her time to assist with this charity effort.

"Anyone is invited to attend this charity auction and bid on items," says Tracie Johnson who is serving as her office's United Way co-team captain and auctioneer organizer, along with co-captains Christine Herald and Barbara Morris, all sales associates of Crye-Leike. "Remember, this is for United Way, so donate and bid often! Cash or a good check will be accepted for payment."
