Nashville, Tenn. - Crye-Leike, Realtors, the nation's 10th largest real estate company, has renewed its commitment to United Way by holding, during the month of September, its annual United Way Workplace Campaign that covers 57 Crye-Leike branch offices in 22 counties throughout Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.

"Crye-Leike is committed company wide to support United Way because of the broad scope of health and human service needs United Way addresses which directly impacts the communities Crye-Leike serves," says Chief Executive Officer Harold E. Crye.

Crye-Leike's Workplace Campaign involves over 3,000 sales associates and 650 employees who will have an opportunity to donate to the local United Way agencies in their communities.

United Way is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to meeting the critical health and human service needs in the community. United Way focuses its efforts on: building a positive future for youth; caring for children and families in crisis; strengthening families; helping children with disabilities; assisting adults with disabilities; enhancing senior lifestyles; improving literacy, education and training; providing emergency and disaster relief; strengthening the non-profit community and providing information, referral and volunteer services.

Crye-Leike has held United Way Workplace Campaigns since 1995, raising over $283,000 in contributions. Crye-Leike has regional hub offices in Memphis, Nashville and Chattanooga, Tennessee as well as in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Last year, Crye-Leike raised over $88,000 for United Way, a 32 percent increase from a year prior. Company officials credit the increase to innovation.

"Many Crye-Leike branch offices took our fund-raising efforts for United Way to a new level," said Joyce Friedman, Crye-Leike's public relations director and United Way Campaign Coordinator. "In addition to collecting individual pledge donations, our Crye-Leike offices also organized special fund-raising events that involved their communities, like auctions, yard sales, a 5K run, car washes, and a $2 million dollar open house, to name a few. And this year's campaign is expected to be no different."

Crye-Leike's innovation lauded them United Way's Most Innovative Campaign for 2003. "Crye-Leike's fund-raising ideas were fun, creative and went a long way toward making the campaign successful," said Ann Buchanan, executive director of United Way of Williamson County.

Crye-Leike is ranked No. 17 among United Way of Williamson County's Top 25 Business Partners.
