CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- Crye-Leike, Realtors, the nations 6th largest real estate company, recently held its annual meeting announcing a record 6.1 billion dollars in company sales for 2006. Despite overall predictions of sluggish real estate sales, Crye-Leike had its best year in its 30-year history, maintaining its spot as the largest real estate company in Tennessee and #1 in the Mid-south.

Crye-Leike, Realtors President, Dick Leike, says, "This is a great time to buy a house. Consumers have choices, interest rates are as low as they've ever been and the cost of living in the Mid-south is low. Now is the time to buy."

Real estate sales for Crye-Leike's Chattanooga region were up at $ 714 million, a 9 percent increase over the year before. These figures represent approximately 4,500 closings by its 400-plus sales associates in the Greater Chattanooga area.

The local Chattanooga Area Association of Realtors reported a 1.5% increase in volume over 2005. Crye-Leike's volume was 7.5 percent higher.
