Transferring to a New City? Relocation Professionals Can Offer Assistance
Brentwood, Tenn. (June 29, 2016) - "Transferring to a new city because of a job opportunity can be overwhelming. Harbor presented information on what buyers need to know about the housing market relative to their relocation. Such a relocation resource can be found online at http://www.crye-leike.com/relocation/guide.
Harbor explained the process of how relocation assistance works. "The Relocation Division is there to assist transferees with learning about the local real estate market. A personal coordinator from the Relocation Division will contact the transferee and perform an initial needs assessment which provides pertinent market data," said Harbor.
"The process of buying a home is then explained, from loan pre-approval to the importance of making good decisions in a fast moving real estate market. After gathering information from the transferee, the coordinator will match a relocation trained sales associate who will help the relocating family find and purchase a home."

Crye-Leike Relocation Provides New CD-Rom Resource for Newcomers to Area
Memphis, Tenn. - Relocating to another city can be stressful, but Crye-Leike Relocation Services is trying to make it a little easier for newcomers with the help of its soon to be released relocation package.
In a convenient CD-ROM format, the Web-based relocation package offers comprehensive area information for homeowners relocating to areas in East, Middle and West Tennessee, along with some areas in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky and Mississippi. The newly redesigned relocation package contains a wealth of information people always struggle to find when making a move to a new area, including Internet Web site links to various community agencies, schools, churches, chambers of commerce and housing information.
A total of 10,000 complimentary CD-ROM relocation packages will be distributed by Crye-Leike sales associates to their out of town customers and to company employees being transferred. The CD-ROM relocation package is available for companies to customize and incorporate their company information onto the compact disc as a marketing tool to enhance their employee recruitment.
America is a country on the move, according to a recent U.S. Census Bureau report released on September 23, 2003. Close to half the population packed up and moved to different homes in the past five years of the 20th century. A total of 45.9% of the 262.4 million U.S. residents, ages 5 and older in 2000, had moved in the previous five years, reports the bureau. In Tennessee, 2,450,373 people older than 5, or 46.1% of its population, moved between 1995 and 2000. The five-year moving rate has hovered at about 46% since 1970.
Using a relocation company has its advantages, says Jennifer Newton, vice president and director of Crye-Leike Relocation Services - Chattanooga Region. "It saves company time and the headaches of handling the minute details for employees and their families' moving needs."
There are considerable cost savings for properly managed relocation moves as well, says Jan Harbor, president and director of Crye-Leike Relocation Services - Mid-South Region (Memphis). "Using a relocation company frees up valuable internal resources and saves employers money by getting their employees back quickly to productive work schedules. It is also a valuable recruiting tool for employers trying to lure qualified candidates to their areas."
There also are tax savings to consider when using a relocation company, says Lora Riddle, president and director of Crye-Leike Relocation Services - Nashville Region. "When a company engages the services of an established relocation company like Crye-Leike, there are hard dollars that can be saved," says Riddle. "Most of the expenses a company incurs in order to transfer an employee from one city to another are considered taxable income to the transferee. With Crye-Leike's BestChoice Homesale Assistance Program, the employer can minimize some of that tax liability."
Offering newcomers an orientation packet on CD-Rom or by e-mail allows Crye-Leike Relocation Services to keep its relocation packages extremely current, notes Tammy Cheney, director of Crye-Leike Relocation Services - Arkansas Region. "Being that this piece is Web-based and relocation information is constantly changing, we don't have to worry anymore about the materials we send out being out dated or out of print. And, the cost savings of not having to mass produce these relocation packets allows us to pass along those savings to our clients."
Crye-Leike Relocation Services, a division of Crye-Leike, the nation's 10th largest real estate company, has five regional relocation hub offices in Chattanooga, Johnson City, Memphis, Nashville, Tenn. and Little Rock, Ark. that serve Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and Kentucky.
