Crye-Leike Launches Zavvie-Powered iBuyer and Buy-Before-You-Sell Program
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - May 4, 2021 - Housing inventory is tighter than ever. Homeowners with any inclination to sell should be leaping at the opportunity. Why aren't they? Before making the momentous decision to list their house for sale, homeowners want to understand what all their options are - and which choice is right for them. But where do they start?
Crye-Leike Real Estate Services, the third largest independently owned real estate firm in the nation and the largest serving Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and the Mid-South, is solving this conundrum with the launch of its zavvie-powered iBuyer and buy-before-you-sell program. Crye-Leike Listing Advantage delivers "the most choices to sell" for local homeowners throughout Crye-Leike markets, offering transparency into all the different selling options and empowering homeowners to take advantage of the hottest sales market in decades.
Crye-Leike Listing Advantage keeps agents at the center of every sales transaction because Crye-Leike agents now can offer local homeowners all the newest selling choices. Crye-Leike Listing Advantage features instant all-cash offers from iBuyers as well as one of the hottest new solutions for sellers, a buy-before-you-sell choice from bridge providers.\
"All a homeowner has to do to receive multiple offers on their home is push a button," said Crye-Leike Owner and Chief Executive Officer Harold Crye. "We're providing homeowners with two things they tell us they want: to see all the choices to sell, and a trusted agent to walk them through all of their options."
Powered by zavvie, Crye-Leike Listing Advantage gives sellers the ability to compare three different sales paths. Homeowners can select an all-cash instant offer from an iBuyer, requiring properties in good condition within a targeted price range. Homeowners also can choose a modern bridge program, allowing them to buy their next home before selling their current one and giving them more control over the moving timeline. Crye-Leike agents also can help homeowners sell on the open market - the most popular choice, as it often results in the highest sales price and net proceeds.
"Crye-Leike is raising the bar in providing the newest opportunities for homeowners to sell their home and still get the expertise of an agent," said Lane Hornung, zavvie co-founder and CEO. "By providing all options available to sell a home, Crye-Leike is empowering their agents to deliver not only the most choices to sellers, but also provide the highest level of service to their clients."
"Every market needs more homes listed for sale," added Hornung. "Crye-Leike Listing Advantage can help unlock inventory as it helps many homeowners who are stuck. Our bridge program, which allows buying your new home before selling your current one, overcomes an obstacle that's keeping many homeowners on the sideline, turning them into sellers."

Crye-Leike Launches 3D Virtual Tour Technology Powered by Asteroom
Memphis, Tenn: Crye-Leike Real Estate Services announces that is has launched 3D virtual tour technology, powered by Asteroom, allowing consumers to safely and efficiently tour listings without stepping foot in the home.
The pandemic has spurred creativity and the use of technology in unanticipated ways, particularly in real estate. According to a study conducted by the National Association of REALTORS (NAR), one in 20 homebuyers purchased a house sight-unseen in 2020.
Despite the "virtual tour" label that is given to many property listings, most of them are simply still photos of different rooms stitched together with a music background. True 3D tours, like the Asteroom product used by Crye-Leike, allow the online user to move through the house, understand the flow of rooms, and view "dollhouse" floor plans that provide a three-dimensional perspective. This technology not only provides a new level of convenience, but it creates a competitive advantage for buyers who can now virtually tour a home the same day it hits the market.
"Being able to offer these 3D tours on most of our listings will be a game-changer in giving buyers a comfort level if circumstances don't allow them to physically visit a property," says Crye-Leike Owner and Chief Executive Officer Harold Crye. "These tours empower buyers to tour homes on their own schedules, while giving sellers the benefit of real exposure without having multiple visitors in their homes. We can still use Zoom, Facetime or other tools to zero in on closets or special features with an agent-guided tour once someone is nearer to making an offer, but the Asteroom technology saves so much time and COVID-angst, which adds tremendous efficiency to the home search process. I don't believe consumers will want to give that up even after the pandemic passes."
Consumer demand for true virtual reality tours, which are already commonplace in other parts of the world and are regularly used by builders for new home models, has increased for resale listings by 750% during the last year of pandemic conditions. Major online portals like Zillow and Realtor.com are now featuring homes with these true virtual tours much more prominently. Crye-Leike adding virtual tour services to its long list of marketing tools provides its 3,000+ agents an opportunity to feature listings in a unique, reliable manner for consumers.
Crye-Leike is the third largest, independently owned real estate firm in the nation, providing a one-stop-shop consumer experience with mortgage lending, title closing, insurance coverage, home services, property management and national relocation services.

Is Your MLS Fueling Disruption Through Inaction? (As reported by RisMedia)
By Gurtej Sodhi, Crye-Leike, Chief Information & Operations Officer
As reported by RisMedia - access article here.
Do you remember rushing to return your DVD to Blockbuster before you were charged a late fee? Or taking your Kodak film cartridge to a local drugstore for 1-hour processing so you could get photos developed immediately? What about shopping at Tower Records for the latest vinyl album in one of their gigantic stores?
Blockbuster, Kodak and Tower Records were category leaders. Each faced technology-based disruption in their industry. They also offer a valuable lesson for the real estate industry today. When your industry is being disrupted, inaction - or action that comes too late - can seal your fate.
Industry action
Today, hundreds of MLSs and real estate brokerages are battling disruptors to regain our position as the first point of contact for consumers looking to buy or sell property. For too long, third party advertising websites have occupied a space that is rightfully that of the real estate professionals.
Many real estate agents spend hundreds - even thousands - of dollars every month to promote their listings with online advertising companies. Agents once believed that they had no choice but to spend their money on third-party sites because there were no other viable options. The Broker Public Portal (BPP at brokerpublicportal.com) was founded by MLS and Brokerage firms to create an alternative to expensive third-party advertising portals.
The Broker Public Portal aims to provide consumers the same comprehensive, real-time MLS data used by real estate professionals - the people who list and sell homes. Powered by Homesnap and Homesnap Pro, BPP provides the only nationwide mobile tech that follows industry-defined Fair Display Guidelines. There are no display ads from other agents or brokers on one's listings, and all inquiries are sent to the listing agent or broker free.
Broker Public Portal with Homesnap has been a game-changer. Now available to over one million agents through more than 200 MLSs, Homesnap is delivering agents millions of dollars in free leads - leads that are included in their regular MLS membership fees - by exposing agent listings to millions of consumers.
BPP with Homesnap also offers the only app in America that works with every MLS system, including CoreLogic's Matrix, dynaConnections, Rapattoni, FBS FlexMLS and Black Knight's Paragon.
However, even though over 1 million agents are benefiting from the free leads generated from Homesnap, the #1 rated property search app, hundreds of MLSs are still sitting on the sidelines and not delivering this service that can reshape the consumer search landscape.
Is inaction fueling your own disruption?
The danger is real: when an industry faces technology disruption, doing nothing or waiting to see what happens before you act has negative consequences. History has taught us that. Just ask the folks who used to run Blockbuster, Kodak and Tower Records.
It's time for every MLS and every broker who serves on an MLS board to take action to partner with the Broker Public Portal. This is about the future of our industry; inaction is not an option. We are in this together: BPP with Homesnap is our industry initiative, and that means we all are part of the BPP movement. It is time for all of us to take action. MLSs and brokerages cannot sit on the sidelines and watch. If your MLS does not offer BPP with Homesnap, let them hear your voice today.

"From a corporate standpoint, choosing TransactionDesk gives us the added convenience of integrating listing and sale information into our back office systems," Sodhi added. "That will save administrative staff countless hours by eliminating duplicate data entry and the need to integrate with disparate third-party systems. And, the fact that TransactionDesk is already in wide use across our markets really helped confirm that this was the right decision. We look forward to using TransactionDesk, as well as the unmatched integration between our transaction management and back office systems."
"Our company has been privileged to serve Crye-Leike for nearly 30 years with our accounting and back office software," said Patrick Arkeveld, CEO of Lone Wolf. Crye-Leike.com a Real Estate Destination Site
Crye Leike Real Estate Services, the nation's third largest privately-held residential real estate firm and the largest in the Mid-South, has been working to make its website crye-leike.com the real estate destination site for home buyers and sellers.
Enhancements to the site are a continual process with a full team of in-house developers committed to its success. To ensure the site is providing a great consumer experience Crye-Leike engaged with an outside agency, Virtual Results, to provide a comprehensive site audit. "The audit provided an unbiased view of what our site does well and where there are opportunities for enhancements. It is helping guide our work for the coming year," noted Gurtej Sodhi, Crye-Leike Chief Information & Operations Officer.
Real estate in the online world today can be confusing. Crye-Leike.com first and foremost focuses on providing consumers with the most accurate and timely information. Crye-Leike updates data every 12 minutes from over 35 different Multiple Listing Services (MLS) throughout the Southeastern United States. Harold Crye, President & CEO of Crye-Leike emphasizes that, "It is important that buyers can find properties on our website and know that they are actually for sale and that the price and description information is correct. We give consumers access to the same data that real estate professionals use."
It is also important that customer inquiries from the website are answered as quickly as possible. Many consumers find that on some real estate websites today, their questions go unanswered. "We saw an opportunity to make a better customer experience on crye-leike.com by quickly answering questions. We have an Internet Customer Care team staffed 7 days a week and we have response time goals of less than 30 minutes for our real estate agents to get back with answers to potential customer inquires," stated Steve Brown, President Crye-Leike Residential Real Estate Sales.
Crye-Leike's mission is "A passionate commitment to unsurpassed service" and this is evident in the work that goes into each aspect of the business, including the consumer's website experience. "Though Crye Leikes website has been a leader in serving customer needs and has won many accolades and awards over the years, continued enhancements are currently in progress in areas of site speed, search engine optimization, data/search features and additional tools that make the process of buying and selling real estate easier for consumers, and continual user feedback is an important part of this process", Sodhi added.
Look for more updates on enhancements to crye-leike.com as the work continues.

The reports are based on a combination of Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data, real-time buyer activity, showings by price range, public record information and recent sales.
"Our Buyside reports target consumers thinking of listing their home," said Williams. "Most importantly, we emphasize that only real estate agents can know the true value of a home."

Crye-Leike Rolls Out TransactionPoint Online Transaction Management System
The typical real estate purchase involves a pile of paperwork that's frequently faxed and often shared between parties as faded and hard to read documentation. In almost every case it's Realtors facilitating this shuffle ?back and forth' of contract changes and files between buyers and sellers, lenders, closing agents and others involved in the transaction.
At Crye-Leike, REALTORS - the nation's 6th largest real estate firm - the days of faxing and sharing the mountains of paper files are fast becoming a thing of the past. The company has spent months ramping up and testing a new online transaction management system called TransactionPoint. Very soon, every person directly involved in a Crye-Leike real estate sale will be offered ?online access' to view files, contracts, mortgage documents, inspection reports and more from anywhere at anytime.
"This is a revolutionary step for us," said Harold Crye, Cofounder & CEO of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. "TransactionPoint gives our sales associates a great leap forward in the service they can provide their clients and empowers our customers and business partners from start to finish on every real estate sale."
In 2009 Crye-Leike, REALTORS partnered with TransactionPoint from Cyberhomes LLC, a division of Lender Processing Services, Inc. (LPS) to provide the platform for the real estate firm's NEW online document retrieval system. The ultimate goal is to introduce the automated transaction management system to Crye-Leike's entire network of nearly 130 corporate and franchise offices in its nine state southern US region.
"By centralizing documents in a ?paperless' environment improves the accuracy and communication between all parties involved in a real estate transaction," said Gurtej Sodhi, Crye-Leike CIO & Corporate Executive Vice President. "Using this cutting edge transaction management technology platform to collaborate between real estate professionals, clients, the lender and the closing agent as well as appraisers, inspectors and other parties, we can offer greater transparency throughout the process and drastically reduces the paper documents."
With Crye-Leike's NEW TransactionPoint, all parties involved in real estate sales can:
Get the total picture of the real estate transaction any time
- Easily access key settlement documents and notes
- Have peace of mind knowing how the transaction in proceeding
As an added value, final closing documents will be available for up to seven years online to clients who close with Crye-Leike's partner title company, Realty Title & Escrow.
"The goal is for our sales associates to do less of the busy work of shuffling documents around, and in doing so, free up more quality time for them to spend with their clients and business partners," said Crye. "Those clients and business partners in turn will gain a peace of mind they never had before with their ability to stay in the loop on all the changes, updates and progress of a real estate sale anytime."

"CL Mobile has been developed with the mobile customer in mind who's driving around and needs access to property information right then and there and of course quickly," said Gurtej Sodhi, Crye-Leike CIO & Corporate Executive Vice President. "CL Mobile will provide the consumer on the go with all the relevant information quickly on a mobile device."
The main search features of CL Mobile include:
? Property Listing Details & Photos
? Open Houses

? Tag Favorite Properties
CL Mobile has been configured and tuned for the IPhone, Blackberry and Android platforms and automatically determines the screen format when accessed by a mobile phone to deliver the best view.
"It's a great way to view photos of a home you like while you're sitting in the driveway," said Harold Crye, Co-Founder and CEO of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. "The more technology advances the easier it is for shoppers to find exactly what they're looking for? saving time and money."
As fast as technology is changing, Crye-Leike is working hard to keep pace. At the start of 2009 the company introduced a 24/7 InfoLine with branded signs and phone numbers on its listings for shoppers to call for audio information. Crye-Leike has managed to integrate its new ?CL Mobile' with its established 24-7 InfoLine.
"The InfoLine was set up so a caller sitting in front of a listed property could listen to an audio description and connect directly with a Realtor or mortgage loan officer," said Sodhi. "Now callers who opt to receive a text message on a property when they're using the Info Line will receive a link to the property detail page on CL Mobile."
Not one to be totally satisfied? the Crye-Leike technology team is already moving forward to enhance the CL Mobile user experience even further. The company's IT specialists are developing ?location based' apps that will recognize geo codes/position locators and offer shoppers information that is proximity based.
"Buyers in the current real estate market have many choices and come to expect great pictures and information to help them make the best decision," said Dick Leike, Co-Founder and President of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. Mid-South Real Estate Giant Betting On YouTube To Help Sell Homes
Visit Crye-Leike On YouTube @ http://www.youtube.com/cryeleike1
BRENTWOOD, TN., - As the 2nd busiest search engine on the web, YouTube.com offers its users free reign to launch, browse and search through an ever expanding assortment of clips from music videos to news footage to amateur antics. With the audience of users on YouTube and other social media sites growing exponentially, Mid-South real estate giant Crye-Leike seized on what it hopes is a golden opportunity by joining in.
"Our agents recognize over 90% of prospective buyers are looking online for properties and they expect quality photos, virtual tours and videos to enhance their search experience," said Keith Sullivan, Crye-leike, REALTORS Vice President and Chief Marketing Director. "By partnering with RealBiz360 we've accomplished just that by providing a video for all Crye-Leike listings on a newly launched Crye-Leike YouTube Channel."
RealBiz360 is collaborating with Crye-Leike in both the creation and delivery of its property listings to YouTube and beyond. As it turns out, YouTube will be just one of many places for Crye-Leike and its agents to mass market their listings to every place possible on the web - from an agent's personal website to social networking site like Facebook and Twitter.
"We are thrilled to be working with such a forward thinking partner like Crye-Leike who is committed to delivering their agents and customers with an enhanced visual experience over multiple online venues including YouTube and Social Networks," said Steve Marques, President, COO, RealBiz360 Inc. "We look forward to our combined success."
"In surveying the landscape for a virtual tour provider, we were intrigued by the social media component offered by RealBiz360," said Sullivan. "With RealBiz360 virtual tours, the agents can advertise their listing's on their social media sites with just the press of a button."
The new virtual tours on YouTube are provided at no cost to Crye-Leike agents - and are essentially a seamless mini music video along with a voice-over description of the property details including price. It will be up to agents to pay a small fee to cover the cost of transporting their tours to other social media sites and real estate web portals.
"Agents will have the option of what we consider a very robust virtual tour offering to showcase their listings on the Crye-Leike website, their personal website, the MLS and through listing syndication to dozens of real estate websites," said Sullivan." "Best of all its hands free for the agent. They simply enter their property information and pictures into the MLS and the work is done for them by RealBiz360. It's that simple."
"As a company, we have worked very hard to deliver what today's online buyer is asking for; rich media and lots of information," said Marques. "By automating the delivery, we believe we have created a measurable benefit for Crye-Leike Agents, not only in productivity but in listing exposure."
Gurtej Sodhi, Chief Information Officer and Corporate Executive Vice President of the Crye-Leike Group of Companies, has been an ?agent of change' for the real estate leaders for many years. He has helped move the company from the days when individual pictures of properties for sale first made their way onto the internet - to today when in a blink of an eye big changes can occur seemingly overnight.
"Even though there have been virtual tours available in the past, this program is a big step up to the basic/standard tours of the past," said Sodhi. "Using new technology, it enables a much more comprehensive view of the property by being able to zoom into details presented via high resolution images."
To help its sales team keep up, in 2010 Crye-Leike began offering an in-house course to agents interested in learning more about social media. The company awards agents who complete the program a Social Networking Professional (SNP) designation after they complete the course work and establish a significant number of contacts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn as well as other sites.
"The unique and new aspect of our leap to YouTube and beyond is in the value proposition to our agents and customers which is the benefit of extended viewership of the properties," said Sodhi. "By automatically distributing the tours to a much wider audience through the use of social media sites we anticipate a very positive reaction that we hope translates into increased views and ultimately more sales for our listings."
All of Crye-Leike's listed property videos are searchable by price, address and a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) number which will help someone just browsing or ideally a prospective buyer in their home search.
"The new platform is just one more tool for our agents and a service to our customers to market their homes, condos, farms and land online," said Sullivan. "Additionally we will be monitoring the number of viewings, click-throughs, messages and feedback so we can make adjustments and improvements to what we already think will become a new standard for our industry."

Crye-Leike's Web Site Stands Out & Earns Website Quality Certification (WQC) Designation Presented By Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE)
BRENTWOOD, TN., - Most companies, big and small, have invested time, human resources and revenue in their online presence. In most cases it's been the development of a standard website to project a firm's brand, business, story and services. Depending on the budget - that online investment can run a few hundred dollars on up into the millions.
To further distinguish itself in the heavy web-based traffic of online real estate, home and Realtor searches and shopping? the mega real estate firm Crye-Leike has gone the extra mile - having its corporate web site ?quality certified.'
The company's website crye-leike.com has been evaluated by a global real estate association - Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE) - which deemed the firm's crye-leike.com worthy of its quality certification designation.
"This provides an affirmation of the quality of Crye Leike's website," said Gurtej Sodhi, CIO & Corporate Executive Vice President for Crye-Leike, REALTORS. "Being compared and analyzed at a global level with all the other real estate websites around the world and achieving this certification provides us with a benchmark of our performance on a worldwide scale."
In bestowing the company with its ?excellence in corporate website' certification, LeadingRE noted that Crye-Leike, REALTORS and its crye-leike.com demonstrate excellence in website design, functionality and execution.
Among the findings in Crye-Leike's website evaluation by LeadingRE; crye-leike.com had a page speed of under 15 seconds, a home page load time of less than three seconds, under six seconds for a property detail page to load and no broken links. The site was found to have strong and consistent branding and good information for consumers on home buying and selling.
The evaluators were also mindful of how timely the company would be with a reply to a customer comment made through crye-leike.com. An evaluator noted that after sending an email at 9:20am requesting information - a friendly and personalized reply came back approximately an hour later. The evaluator noted, ?Great Job.'
"As a customer, it is important to feel confident that the website you are using to collect information on - for one of the most important and potentially biggest transactions of one's life - is comprehensive and feature rich," said Angie Vandenbergh Web Manager for Crye-Leike Information Technology. "We've enabled our visitors to have access to all the information they need as they go along this process of looking at homes and Realtors to match their needs. Having this global certification is a measure of the level of achievement of the website and a clear indicator to the customer that they are working with a quality company that cares."
The website quality certification was only recently introduced by the ?global group' LeadingRE in 2009 as a means of recognizing and encouraging superior websites among it's 600 member companies. Crye-Leike is one of only 64 initial applicants to earn the designation. The certification process reviewed every aspect of the site - and crye-leike.com met the LeadingRE high standards in eight key areas ranging from design and content to human interactivity to search engine optimization.
"A real estate company's website plays an increasingly significant role with today's consumers, who often go there first when considering buying or selling a home," said Pam O'Connor, president/CEO of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World?. "It is thus critical to use this Internet medium to attract and engage consumers in a meaningful way."
As if the new quality certification isn't enough, Crye-Leike web managers and programmers are now undertaking the process of redesigning the current crye-leike.com and expect to launch a new look sometime in 2010. The company intends to maintain its quality certification by submitting an application to LeadingRE this fall and each year thereafter in order to maintain its designation status.
"It's our goal and our promise to everyone who visits crye-leike.com that we will offer them a cutting-edge user experience with use of audio and video broadcast, exceptional visual elements, sophisticated core design, effective use of video content and features that engage consumers such as interactive maps, blogs, etc," said Sodhi. "Crye-Leike consistently strives to enhance the features on the website and make available all those functions that will consistently improve the consumer experience on an on-going basis."

Crye-Leike Is Showing Property Today Like A Network TV Show In Reruns
BRENTWOOD, TN., - Selling homes today is a lot like the business of taking a top rated Network TV show into syndication. For instance? when the ?mega hit show' Friends finished its long run on the NBC network? a ?syndicator' stepped in to take the show to new heights and profits through syndication. The more TV stations and markets - the more visibility and advertising revenue it can generate - over and over again. Real estate today is a lot like a hot network TV show in reruns.
"It's all about getting the most exposure online for the real estate listings - thus reaching as big an audience/potential buyers as possible," said Gurtej Sodhi, Chief Information Officer and Corporate Executive Vice President for Crye-Leike, REALTORS. "It's about distributing our listings and also putting systems in place to protect the integrity of the data, content and detail of a property listing that's being presented online."
Sodhi - on behalf of Crye-Leike, REALTORS recently negotiated a strategic agreement with one of the two biggest real estate listing syndicators in the country - a company called ListHub. Think of ListHub to real estate listing syndication like a Wal Mart is to retailing. According to Sodhi the partnership will put the company's real estate listings on more than 30 ?Internet Portals' which generate over 95% of all real estate based internet traffic.
"Back in the day? real estate companies maintained their ?homes for sale' on their own company web site - and that was good enough just a few years ago," said Sodhi. "Today, with the explosion of commerce on the internet and fierce competition - you have to be everywhere you think a home buyer will be online looking for homes and have a mechanism to direct and connect them back to your company and agents."
A few of the sites where you can now find Crye-Leike homes include: Google, AOL, Yahoo, FrontDoor.com and Trulia just to name a few. The company will also receive ?traffic reports' so agents and managers can see where property listings are getting the most looks and interest from prospective home shoppers.
"We have tried to stay on the cutting edge of technology - evolving our business model to cater to the online home shopper as well as our Realtors," said Harold Crye, Cofounder & CEO of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. "Our relationship with ListHub will help us open the door and connect more with our clients who are increasingly starting their home search online and prefer to connect with our agents and managers through email and online social communities."
Crye-Leike, REALTORS will continue to maintain its very visible branch office locations across the MidSouth and employ a variety of traditional sales and marketing techniques to reach potential customers. Clearly - the expanding online marketplace of buyers dictates a new approach - going to where the clients and the business are.
"The TV networks and production companies in Hollywood realized some years ago that they could get more mileage and money out of hit shows if it went into syndication - duplicating a show over and over and over," said Sodhi. "We'd like to think of all our homes for sale as ?Must See Real Estate' and the time has come in our marketplace to seize on syndication in online communities to attract more people to our top rated properties."

Crye-Leike, REALTORS Takes Its Agent Marketing To New Heights
BRENTWOOD, TN., Crye-Leike, REALTORS is pleased to announce a major advancement in the way the company and its sales associates are now marketing and promoting real estate listings and sales activity across the MidSouth.
The "marketing breakthrough" for Crye-Leike comes with its recently signed agreement with Austin, Texas based QuantumDigital to partner with the nation's 6th largest real estate firm on its direct mail and on-demand printing.
Crye-Leike will be moving the bulk of its direct mail and print marketing collateral from an "in-house" direct fulfillment facility to QuantumDigital's web-to-print online portal for processing, production and mailing. The decision was made by Crye-Leike after 32 years of producing collateral internally for its 3,000-plus real estate agent sales force.
"QuantumDigital's technology will provide our agents the ability to go online to order ?Just Listed' and ?Just Sold' cards and other pieces and have them in the mail stream the very next business day," said Keith Sullivan, Crye-Leike, REALTORS Senior Marketing Director. "We're confident that the flexibility to order online 24/7 and have the system integrated with the MLS for agent's listing data and photos will be a great advantage for all of our agents, putting them a step ahead of competitors."
Crye-Leike hopes to double its online direct mail output to over one million pieces per year by using QuantumDigital's online portal, which will include a variety of postcards, flyers, brochures, door hangers and business reply cards for use by its agents. The portal will feature an array of approved, pre-designed, corporate-branded marketing collateral that can be personalized by agents for their local market.
Once a Crye-Leike agent completes the order, QuantumDigital then processes the order within a 24-hour turnaround time.
Crye-Leike will continue to provide its Realtor sales associates with access to in-house designers for all their custom design needs.
"The technology that has come out within the past three years is making it more difficult for real estate companies to execute direct mail fulfillment internally," explained Gurtej Sodhi, Crye-Leike, REALTORS CIO & Corporate Executive Vice President. "We're in the real estate, mortgage, title and insurance businesses. By turning the mail process over to QuantumDigital, Crye-Leike will be able to focus on our core businesses."
"For over two decades we have continued to leverage new technologies in order to offer innovative, affordable and easy-to-use marketing products and services to the real estate community. We specialize in streamlining direct marketing campaigns, making them more effective and helping real estate professionals capture more local market share," said QuantumDigital President and CEO, Steve Damman. "We're looking forward to our new partnership with Crye-Leike, REALTORS? and are excited to provide them with an exceptional customer experience that delivers quality on time, every time."

Crye-Leike, REALTORS Introduces VoicePad Mobile IDX Audio Search Technology On Its Home Listings
BRENTWOOD, TN., - Crye-Leike, REALTORS is pleased to introduce VoicePad Mobile IDX Audio Search technology which allows property buyers access to the entire local "homes for sale" inventory from any telephone. In January the company began offering its branded "24-7 Info Line" to consumers on all its listings.
"We spent a considerable amount of time researching competitive technologies and decided VoicePad best fit our needs as it provides a service to both our listing agents and our buyers agents, said Harold Crye, Cofounder & CEO of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. "Consumers are the real winners with this service as they can receive up to date property information on any area home listing - even our competitors - by using the "street search" feature, thus saving valuable time during the home search process."
Crye-Leike "For Sale Signs" now include a local number for home shoppers to call for immediate and detailed information on any home on the market, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week. The technology also notifies the Realtor with the listed property that there has been an inquiry.
"Buyers can easily receive instant information about the home they are interested in by calling our system where they have the option to connect directly with the agent and schedule an appointment to see the home," said Keith Sullivan, Crye-Leike's Senior Marketing Director. "Home shoppers who call the Crye-Leike 24-7 Info Line can also receive the estimated mortgage payment and opt to receive a text message with the home's features sent directly to their cell phone."
Crye-Leike agents can also register the buyers they're working with on the new Crye-Leike 24-7 Info Line. It enables a home shopper who's out on their own looking at homes to instantly alert their agent when they use the Info Line to get more information on a specific property.
"I've been most impressed by the amount of call activity we're already seeing with the system only three months after implementation," said Sullivan. "To date, we're averaging over 2,500 calls per week (10,000 per month) and I think we've only scratched the surface. More inquiries mean more showings resulting in a faster sale at the highest price."

Crye-Leike Publishes New Home Buyer's Guide for Premier Homes
Nashville, Tenn. - There's a new publication on the street. Crye-Leike, the nation's 10th largest real estate company, recently launched its new Buyer's Guide to Premier Homes, a monthly publication showcasing 90 of Crye-Leike's most prestigious residential properties for sale within Crye-Leike's four principal market areas: West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, Southeastern Tennessee and Arkansas.
The guide features houses with an average sales price exceeding $650,000 and is being distributed monthly by direct mail to over 50,000 homeowners who reside in 49 zip code areas within West and Middle Tennessee. Recipients are principal residents over the age of 35 who currently own their homes and have a total household income equal to or greater than $150,000 per year. Another 25,000 distribution to Southeastern Tennessee and Arkansas is planned to be added in the first quarter of the new year.
"The demographics we chose were based upon statistics that show people in their mid-30s through 50s with children tend to search for a bigger home," says Michael Frase, marketing director of Crye-Leike. " In reviewing all of the home buyers' guides currently available to consumers in the marketplace, we concluded that Crye-Leike's Buyer's Guide to Premier Homes is the only publication in West and Middle Tennessee solely devoted to premier homes and those who buy them."
The printing of the guide is "coffee table quality," says Frase. "What we mean by that is our marketing piece has ?staying power'; you don't want to throw it away so fast because of all the quality photos of high-end homes displayed. Everyone has a dream home in mind and this piece allows consumers the opportunity to dream ?in color' and shop at the same time."
The guide is printed as a high gloss, eight-page, four-color tabloid, folded to a 9" x 12" size.
Crye-Leike's Buyer's Guide to Premier Homes is an extension of the company's initiative to position itself as marketers of luxury properties. The company has trained over 450 Crye-Leike sales associates in the past three years on marketing premier properties valued at $400,000 or more through its Crye-Leike Premier Properties Division.
"We offer a two-day highly specialized training program that provides our Crye-Leike sales associates with a well-rounded introduction to architecture, interior design, appraisal, custom construction, insurance and finance issues involved in marketing high-end properties," says Joyce Friedman, director of Crye-Leike Premier Properties.
"Our associates are further challenged to achieve the company's distinctive certified premier properties specialist (CPPS) designation which signifies excellence in marketing higher priced and estate properties. To achieve this distinction, sales associates must take steps to continue their education in marketing premier properties and have the proven experience and training to deliver the highest level of ethical and professional service." At present, there are 60 Crye-Leike sales associates company wide who have achieved this distinction, she notes.
"Our publication has been extremely well received in the community," says Frase. "There are already numerous success stories to tell as a result of publishing this guide. But, the most remembered is when we published our first edition and no sooner than it was mailed, a homeowner came walking into one of our branch offices and said, ?I want to buy the house on this cover, sight unseen.' And that was a gratifying moment to learn that this publication is truly reaching our targeted market. The fact that the home sold for $1.35 million in cash was a pleasant bonus."

Crye-Leike Embraces Broker Reciprocity
Nashville, Tenn. - Crye-Leike, the largest real estate company in Tennessee and the Mid-South, is one of the first in Middle Tennessee to embrace a new mandated industry policy that allows real estate brokers to post property listing information from other participating brokers on their Web sites. Industry sources claim this new Internet data display policy to be the most important industry development since the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), making it the next evolutionary step for MLS systems into the electronic age.
Crye-Leike made this business decision of including other participating brokers' listings on its Web site, "to promote the best interests of its clients, to enhance cooperation between Realtors and to use the Internet to better serve its clients and customers," announced Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer.
Posting all participating brokers' listings for sale in the Middle Tennessee area onto Crye-Leike's Web site (www.crye-leike.com) allows consumers to access a complete inventory of what is on the market. They can view not only Crye-Leike's current inventory base of over 2,500 listings within eight counties in the Greater Nashville area but also an additional 23,000 active listings for sale in Middle Tennessee. Those Middle Tennessee listings span 41 counties and include residential, condos, lands, lots, farms and multi-family dwelling properties. Crye-Leike of Nashville, Inc. represents 13 percent of the listings within eight counties in Middle Tennessee. (See chart)
Millions of consumers visit Internet Web sites each month to search for information on real estate for sale. Property listings are available on thousands of sites everywhere on the Web, from local newspaper Web sites to national real estate listing aggregator sites such as Realtor.com, many of which are not broker owned or controlled by Realtors.
In anticipation of the increasing use of Web sites by Realtors, leadership at the National Association of Realtors (NAR) determined how real estate applications on the Internet could be enhanced so that all Realtors can inform and serve their customers. They developed a new Internet data display policy, known by several names, including Internet Data Display (IDD), Internet Data Exchange (IDX) and broker reciprocity, that enables brokers to participate in displaying one another's MLS listings on their own Web sites.
The NAR policy mandates that IDX be available through local Multiple Listing Service systems by January 1, 2002, a date selected to encourage uniform Internet listing opportunities for all Realtors. Brokers can elect whether to participate or not, referred to as 'opting in' or 'opting out.'
"Out of the 815 real estate brokers in the Middle Tennessee Region, there were less than 2 percent (15) that decided to 'opt out' of the IDX program," said Stuart White, chief executive officer of RealTracs Solutions, formerly Middle Tennessee Regional Multiple Listing Service.
"It makes perfect business sense for the industry, " said Crye. "Online, the only commodity is information. Enabling brokers to display on their Web sites a vast listing of all real estate properties for sale in their area is a significant development. It's a powerful new tool that positions real estate brokers as information providers as well as service providers."
Crye-Leike of Nashville Inc., which has 21 branch and franchise offices in 10 counties in Middle Tennessee, initiated its broker reciprocity Web site in October 2001 within the Middle Tennessee area. "Crye-Leike is a strong proponent of broker reciprocity," said Gurtej Sodhi, chief information officer of Crye-Leike. "We feel it enhances the consumers' experience, giving them a full view instead of partial view of the listings available in their areas. Consumers become more confident that they are not missing anything when they can view more than just the companies' listings."
Crye-Leike's information technology division reports that the company's Web site has experienced a 25 percent increase in Web traffic since broker reciprocity was enacted on its site. By late January, Crye-Leike plans to broaden its Web site database to include other brokers' listings within the Greater Memphis and Chattanooga areas. Since Crye-Leike belongs to a total of nine Multiple Listing Service networks, it has future plans to include on its Web site listings from its other market areas. Those areas include: Athens, Tenn.; North Mississippi; Tupelo, Miss.; West Memphis and Jonesboro, Ark; and Johnson City, Tenn.
The Web sites of the John L. Scott and Windermere real estate firms in Seattle (where reciprocity has been working for three years) are experiencing between 12 and 18 million hits per month, according to senior firm managers. They attribute this to the relatively complete databases of listings that they can offer consumers.
"A nationwide adoption of broker reciprocity won't affect the basic underpinnings of the real estate industry because all real estate transactions are based on trusted relationships, including those between listing and selling brokers and brokers and agents," said Crye. "Realtors have always taken the position that an open exchange of information benefits both sellers and buyers."
Crye-Leike (www.crye-leike.com), a full service real estate company for 25 years, is the nation's 13th largest real estate company and the largest serving Tennessee and the Mid-South. Crye-Leike First in Mid-South to Offer Nationwide Housing Search Online
Memphis, Tenn. - In an effort to better serve national as well as local real estate needs for area consumers, Crye-Leike, Realtors has launched a national property search addition to its company Web site, www.crye-leike.com, allowing consumers to preview listings in communities throughout the United States. Crye-Leike, the largest real estate company in Tennessee and the Mid-South, is the first independent real estate company in the Mid-South to offer this nationwide housing search capability on its Web site.
Unlike other national Web sites that house residential listings of homes for sale, www.crye-leike.com offers property inventory which is updated daily and is housed on Crye-Leike's local Web site, rather than via a link to a national site. The service is available as a result of Crye-Leike's affiliation with the RELO network, the nation's largest relocation referral network of nearly 900 leading independent real estate brokers in the United States who collectively generate over $245 billion in annual home sales. Crye-Leike is ranked No. 8 among the nation's 136 largest privately owned and independent firms.
"Now when sellers list with Crye-Leike, their homes are exposed to millions of additional potential buyers via the high traffic Web sites of participating RELO members across the country," said Jan Harbor, president and director of Crye-Leike Relocation Services - Memphis and the Mid-South Region.
"By helping local consumers begin their search here at home, Crye-Leike can not only provide valuable early home search information, but also can make an introduction to a qualified real estate company and sales associate at the destination, a service that can make a significant positive difference in the entire relocation experience. It's a decision that's too important to leave to chance."
When online visitors to www.crye-leike.com click on "national search" on Crye-Leike's home page, they are able to select the appropriate destination area and price range. The online visitor then has immediate access to comprehensive property information for that area at their fingertips.
For additional details, online visitors can request assistance from Crye-Leike's customer service department. "Applying the same services available to corporate transferees, Crye-Leike's customer service department will refer the online customer to a pre-screened real estate professional in the new area and will monitor the service delivery process to ensure that the online customer's needs are met," said Harbor.
"This process provides a level of accountability and customer advocacy that is often missing in the national real estate industry," said Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer of Crye-Leike. "By assisting area home buyers who are moving to other areas or looking to purchase vacation homes in other areas, Crye-Leike can facilitate that experience from start to finish. And through our RELO affiliation, Crye-Leike is able to engage the assistance of the top real estate firms across the country to work on behalf of our outbound customers."
Crye-Leike (www.crye-leike.com), a full service real estate company for 25 years, is the nation's 13th largest real estate company and the largest serving Tennessee and the Mid-South. It has a network of over 2,200 sales associates and 55 branch and franchise offices located in 25 counties throughout a five-state Mid-South region in Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Georgia.
