Chattanooga, Tenn. - Crye-Leike, Realtors, which has nine branch and franchise offices in the Greater Chattanooga area, was recently voted the No. 1 residential and commercial real estate company in the Greater Chattanooga area by readers of The Chattanooga Times Free Press newspaper during its first 2001 Readers' Choice awards.
Additionally, Crye-Leike sales associate Jo Peckinpaugh was voted as one of the top two residential real estate agents in Chattanooga. Peckinpaugh is affiliated with Crye-Leike's Hixson branch office.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press, which has a daily circulation of 75,000 and Sunday circulation of 106,000, based results of Readers' Choice on its readers casting their votes. Chattanooga, Tenn. - Crye-Leike, Realtors' branch office in Cleveland, Tenn. has moved into a new company-owned business park at 4627 North Lee Highway within Crye-Leike Plaza's newly constructed 14,400 square foot office building. Crye-Leike's one story branch office occupies 4,200 square feet.
"We consider our new Cleveland office to be in a prime location within Bradley County," said Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer of Crye-Leike. "It is strategically located on a main thoroughfare in the north side of Cleveland, Tenn., an area experiencing tremendous growth."
"Bradley County overall has had strong growth over the past few years," adds Crye. "It is ranked the fifth largest industrial job market in the state with over 100 different manufacturers doing business in the county."
The new facility was built to accommodate up to 30 Crye-Leike sales associates and includes 10 private offices and four semi-private offices for top producers.
Lebanon, Tenn. - Crye-Leike, Realtors' Lebanon branch office is holding a Crayons for Kids school supplies drive to benefit those Wilson County school children who receive free or reduced price meals within the Wilson County School System and the Lebanon Special School District.
"With less than three weeks away before school starts, we are asking parents to purchase extra school supplies when purchasing items for their own children," said Nancy Oberti, managing broker of Crye-Leike's Lebanon branch office.
According to the Tennessee Department of Education's School System Report Card for 2000, the Wilson County School System and the Lebanon Special School District combined had a total of 2,540 school children who participated in the system's free/reduced price meals program. That total represents 17.8 percent of the total 14,226 students in those two school districts.

Chattanooga, Tenn. - Jennifer Newton, vice president and director of Crye-Leike Relocation Services - East Tennessee Region, has earned the certified relocation professional (CRP) designation from the Employee Relocation Council, a professional membership association concerned with domestic and international employee transfers. The CRP program recognizes Newton's knowledge of the entire relocation industry and requires awareness of residential real estate and appraising, corporate relocation policies and issues, relocation tax and legal issues, and family relocation issues.
There are 4,913 Employee Relocation Council (ERC) members who hold the CRP designation. Newton was one of 521 who was awarded the designation during the May administration of the 2001 exam. ERC members must earn 30 re-certification credits within each three-year period following certification to maintain their CRP designation.
